Prayer and Fasting 9/30/20

Good Morning LG!

I thought this was a terrific quote from someone I wouldn't have expected it to come from: "Prayer is reaching out after the unseen; fasting is letting go of all that is seen and temporal. Fasting helps express, deepen, and confirm the resolution that we are ready to sacrifice anything, even ourselves, to attain what we seek for the glory of God." -- Andy Murray, tennis player

Let us do these very things as we pray and fast today.

1. Pray for your own heart, that you would love God's Word and listen to it more than your own heart and you own desires and the things of this world.

2. Pray for Patrick and Ky Murphy (and Haddon and Mary Beth) as they are finishing up their three weeks in the woods of Missouri for their jungle training.

3. Pray for the unsaved people in your life to come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Pray for opportunities even today that you may be able to share with them or others.

4. Praise God that the building is officially ours! The Lord had to be in this every step of the way, and He was. Now pray the Lord will use this facility for the preaching of God's Word and the maturity and salvation of people.
